Guardians To Spiritual Maturity
|Lately, I have been speaking about “tutors” such as “the Law was a tutor to faith.” For those of you that have not listened to or read my previous teachings on this subject, let me catch you up to speed by giving you a quick definition of a tutor. First, let me share a few projects that I am currently working on.
I am in the process of finally finishing 3 upcoming books. “Guardians to Spiritual Maturity, New Heaven and New Earth, and, Peace Makers. I do not recommend writing 3 books at once. While I might tell you, ‘I will never do that again,’ I probably will.
I will also be releasing a teaching this week on Heaven. I taught on this subject at our last SOHL gathering hoping to redefine and debunk some traditional thinking as to what heaven is and where it is located. I believe this teaching will unlock some hidden doors in you and encourage you to investigate them fully for yourself.
Back to tutors.
In earlier biblical times, a tutor was often a slave whose duty it was to conduct a youth to and from school. His primary function was to supervise the youth’s general behavior, thus keeping the child in line with parental expectations.
Unlike western practices, the function of a tutor was not that of a teacher, but a guardian. Hence my title, “guardians to spiritual maturity.” The function of a guardian was needed until the youth reached a point of maturation, at which time; this once very young child would no longer need a guardian to watch over him.
Therefore, in this sense, the Law was a guardian to faith. Once faith appeared the guardian, (the Law) was no longer needed.
In the book of Galatians, Paul describes it like this,
“Before faith came, we were kept in custody under the law, being shut up to the faith which was later to be revealed. Therefore, the Law has become a tutor (guardian) to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a tutor (guardian). For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.” (Gal 3:23-27)
Again, let me remind you that the declination of a guardian is an indicator of spiritual maturity. When by faith, we entered into a relationship with Jesus Christ; we came out from under the guardian of the Law, thus an open declaration of our spiritual advancement.
Once we were in Christ, we were instantaneously transferred into another spiritual dimension. All of this occurred before we ever understood what being in Christ was really about.
Having said all that let me briefly highlight types of guardians. Some of which are still destined to be removed in the near future.
1) As stated earlier, we already know that the Law of God, given through Moses, has been removed through Jesus Christ. Therefore, a guardian that is no longer needed.
2) The Five-Fold ministry is another guardian that will soon fade beneath the people of God growing up into the mind of Christ. We know that it is merely an earthly pattern of a heavenly order. (Ephesians 4)
3) The laws of the land, which include our sacred constitution of the United States, will slowly fade away as well. While many are desperately trying to keep such constitution and government in tack, it is merely a temporary guardian, until; the people of God grow up into the constitution of heaven. Of course, until the government of heaven becomes more apparent, we still need the temporary to continue in its place.
4) The laws of physics, including every aspect of creation, gravity, matter, space, time, light etc, are all guardians that will eventually give way to the supernatural influences of the people of God. We will eventually take authority over every scientific law known to man and beyond. For some, this might come as a shock, but it’s already happening right now and has been going on for thousands of years. We are just now beginning to crest over the spiritual tipping point.
Let me give you a simple example of time as a temporary guardian.
Earth and all of its inhabitants are obviously subject to time. In fact, everything that pertains to life, as we know it is subject to time. From sun up to sun down, we are seemingly working against the clock. Though time does exist in heaven, unlike Earth, it does not govern heaven, but heaven governs time.
“For a thousand years in Your sight
David is not saying that a 1000 years equal day, he is simply pointing out that time on earth is not the same in heaven.
Therefore, dimensionally speaking, time and space in heaven does not work or look anything like time on earth. Time, space and light, on an earthly plain, operate in a reductive state.
In the kingdom of heaven, all the above, operate in their original eternal state. They function outside of any earthly limitations. They are governed by unreduced light and glory. In heaven, light cannot be measured because there are no laws of time to measure it by. In the kingdom of God, the Light of God, in of itself, is the government of God. Why? Because God is light. If light from the sun can accelerate growth on the earth at such an unusual rate, how much more can the unapproachable light of God accelerate life everlasting? In heaven, the tenses of time: past, present and future are readily accessible at any given moment.
It is the supreme intent of God to bring his people into a sphere of spiritual maturity that will enable them to engage with the eternal side of creation at every level. Even as I write this, countless men, women and children are breaking the barrier of time and space. They are moving about freely in the kingdom of heaven. They are supernaturally defying the laws of physics, thus matter, mass and gravity. While many are still tampering with the basics of spiritual understanding, many more are advancing into their eternal inheritance, so much so, that they will soon exhibit a generation that will never die.
